A Cozy Newborn Session in Harrisburg, PA - Photographing the Early Stages of Someone's Life
As I pulled into the driveway, I was overcome with excitement and nervousness. It was my first newborn session, and I wasn’t sure what to expect.
I knocked on the front door and was welcomed in with a whisper.
The baby was sleeping.
The new parents showed me to the nursery, and I smiled at the sweetly decorated room. It was a perfect nursery for the baby girl. My nerves quickly melted away as they laid the newborn in her crib, and I reached for my camera. I slowly moved from different sides of the room, getting photos of the parents looking down at their little miracle. I made sure to get all the tiny details, from her tiny toes and fingers to the details of her nursery. The baby started to awake, and the mother picked her up, cradling her in her arms. I snapped away, capturing such a wholesome moment.
I left their home with such a warm heart. I felt honored to photograph the early stages of someone’s life.
Years from now, that little girl will be grown, and her room won’t be a nursery anymore. Life will look a little different. But the family will always have these photos to look back on.
